"Resting Place"

The love of Jesus causes our souls to rest. When we connect with Him and keep our focus on Him, we are able to stay in a place of peace despite the circumstances surrounding us.  There is no better place to be.

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
Psalm 46:10 NIV

The Hebrew word for “still” is raphah and it means to relax, wait or let go. We need to “let go” of trying to control our life or the people around us (because frankly that’s exhausting) and rest in the knowledge that our heavenly father is in control.

This was a commissioned piece for a client. She loved a piece I had already painted but it wasn't the right size and the red wasn't a good match for her room.
