There was no poem or prayer that accompanied this painting but I painted it after a very challenging season and for me it just meant I'm done, send in the clowns, I've got nothing left and I need some comic relief. I know it's from a song in a play (that I've never seen) but the title just jumped in my spirit while I was painting her. She is sad, but there is still joy in the midst of the grief. I included the bird to help her find her joy...my friend calls birds creations' little praise machines.
