The dark night of the soul is a difficult season in life. It may bring a loss of direction or purpose where you feel like you are just going through the motions. It may bring hopelessness or despair and you may struggle to understand your place in the world. You cannot circumvent or speed up the process, but you can allow it to help you let go of the things that no longer serve you. The night will not last forever. The sun will shine again and you will have a stronger sense of who you are and where you belong. New life will grow out of the darkness.
