"In the Palm of His Hands"
When the world seems to be in chaos all around you the Lord wants to remind you that He is in control. He doesn’t want you to strive or get caught up in trying to control anything, even in prayer. It is a time of rest, not a time of war. He wants you to be still and know that He is god. The Hebrew word for “still” is raphah and it means to relax, wait or let go. Let go of expectations, of what you thought things were going to look like. Rest in the knowledge that God is good and that He has your best interest at heart. Even when you cannot see Him, he is at work under the surface, weaving things together for your good. He is working on your foundation, on your roots and when the time is right the fruit will grow. As you rest, let Him do the work. You are where you are supposed to be…In the Palm of His Hands.
“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing; He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul, He guides me along the right paths for His name’s sake, even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me, your rod and staff they comfort me, you prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies, you anoint my head with oil, my cup overflows, surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever” Psalm 23
