It is in the stillness that we find our balance and come back to center. It is where we can shut up the negative voices including our own self talk so that the one true voice of our Father can be heard. It is where we heal and it is where we grow. It is not an easy task with all that is going on in the world, but it is so very necessary. We need it physically, but even more so we need it mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

“Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only be still”. Exodus 14:14

This isn’t just a reminder to stay in a place of rest with the Lord, it is also a reminder to “get out of the boat” and not let fear hold you back.
